Born in the United Kingdom, Rachael moved to the USA in 1996 for postdoctoral studies in organic chemistry. Now based in suburban Philadelphia, Rachael first stepped onto her mat in 1996 curious about how yoga could complement a very active lifestyle.
The mindful movement and breath awareness of asana practice offered a safe space to explore body mind and soul. The openness, focus and clarity that the practice provides and the calmness and stillness it creates are the elements that continue to bring her back to her mat time after time.
Rachael received her 200-hr. Teacher Training in 2009 and completed her Yin Yoga training with Corinna Benner in 2012. Learning from wonderful local and national teachers alike over the years, Rachael is studying towards the Pranakriya School of Yogic Healing Arts 300-hr. certification with Yoganand Michael Carroll and has begun her 300-hr. certification with Mark Nelson and Nikki Robinson at the Yoga Garden in Narberth.
Using clear instruction to build a proper foundation of alignment for “every” body, her classes aim to empower students to dive deeper into their own practice and discover the long term benefits of uniting body, mind and breath.
