Have you ever noticed how, when you’ve been doing something regularly and then you take a break, you sometimes come back to it with new clarity, or are able to do things even better than when you were in your routine?
I think of it the same way our brains solve problems when we sleep. Sometimes that pause is exactly what your body needs to figure out how to progress to the next level. It needs time to sort through the various solutions. And that pause can take many forms: A day off. A different type of class. A different teacher on the schedule. A different time of day.
Any of those approaches can give your body and your mind a new perspective. And when you come back to the things you’ve been working on, there’s a good chance you’ll be seeing them differently!
Enjoy all the phases of your learning, on and off your mat!
