Jen Bowers grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and her mother took her to her first yoga class. She was drawn to the meditative and philosophical aspects of the practice, and immediately started to reap the physical benefits, as well. Upon moving to Philadelphia, Jen found her community at The Yoga Garden.
Ultimately, she completed her 200-hr. Yoga Teacher Training at The Yoga Garden, under the guidance of Mark Nelson and Chae Yang. She has completed 65 hours of Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Corina Benner. And has studied Ayurveda and yoga energetics at the Integral Yoga Institute in New York City. She continues to study the foundational principals of Yin Yoga (Chinese Medicine and Taoism) with Dr. Seth Koss, MD of Wellspring Physician Acupuncture.
Jen’s classes are soulful, and they are focused on the practices of compassion and gratitude toward self, the body as it is today, and the breath. Whether it’s a meditative Yin class or a strong vinyasa flow, Jen wants everyone to leave class having created a sense of freedom and space. And with a smile!
