THE NATURE OF YOGA:
Reset, Refresh and Explore
with Mark Nelson
Spending time in nature works wonders for our well-being. It's the counter-balance to all the time we spend indoors at home and at work. And when you combine that outdoor time with the mindfulness and awareness of yoga, it creates a powerful antidote to the stresses of modern life!
This spring, join Mark Nelson for three days of dynamic vinyasa practices, invigorating time outdoors hiking and exploring, and nurturing yin yoga sessions. We'll combine the benefits of movement, both on our mats and on the mountain trails surrounding the retreat center. And while you focus on your own well-being, we’ll make sure everything else is easy: delicious, healthy food, simple lodging options, wide open spaces to explore, and even additional spa treatments to leave you refreshed and revitalized. Everything is designed to be at your own pace, so you can step out of your routine and reconnect with yourself!
It’s time to plant the seeds for a vibrant lifestyle through yoga and a fresh appreciation for the healing powers of nature. We'll see you in the mountains!
A WEEKEND IN NATURE:
Friday, April 19
To help you transition from your work week into retreat mode, we’ll gather over a healthy dinner, then move through a slow flow practice into a grounding, restorative yin practice, setting the tone for the weekend.
Saturday, April 20
We’ll start the day with a mixed-levels flow and build up into dynamic asana to get you moving and back in your body. Then in the afternoon, we’ll venture out for hiking and breath work in the forests surrounding the retreat center, followed by a deep stretch. That evening, we’ll join together for some hot chai and cookies before we settle in for our yin and restorative practice.
Sunday, April 21
Sunday morning, we'll top off the weekend with a targeted asana practice to merge all the learning of the weekend. Then after lunch, you'll have the option of a stroll outside before heading home, revitalized with a fresh, new perspective.

MOVING WITH FOCUS: In Body and Mind
with Mark Nelson
We often spend more time doing than being. We all understand the need to put our energy out there to keep things going, but there must be a way to create more balance. That's exactly why it's important to take time for ourselves — to move with focus.
For three days this fall, we'll do just that. We'll move our bodies and guide our thoughts in more meaningful ways, creating a balance of doing and being, so we can tap into the vitality of who we really are. Through dynamic, empowering asana, inspiring discussions, restorative yin sessions, and lots of light-hearted group activities, we'll bring mind and body together with renewed energy and a fresh outlook.
This is a chance for you to enjoy being you! We'll take care of the rest: healthy, nourishing food, easy accommodations, lots of time in nature, and even optional spa treatments to top it off. Moving with Focus is a mind and body retreat designed to balance out your busy lifestyle. We hope you'll join us!
A WEEKEND TO MOVE MINDFULLY:
Friday, Date TBD
To begin your retreat experience, we’ll start with a hearty, nourishing dinner, then move through a slow flow practice into a grounding, restorative yin practice, setting the tone for the weekend.
Saturday, Date TBD
We’ll start the day with a mixed-levels vinyasa practice to get your body and mind on the same track. Then in the afternoon, we'll explore the physical and philosophical connections we can make through dynamic yoga and mindfulness practices. There will be options for students with all levels of experience in yoga. Come as you are. Some of our poses will be challenging, some will be easy, all of them will be fun! Saturday evening, after dinner, we'll settle in for more restful yin and restorative yoga to round out the day.
Sunday, Date TBD
Sunday morning, there will be a flowing, extended practice, combining all the movement and focused intentions of the weekend. After lunch, we'll all head home with a renewed sense of balance!
